Katarina Eve R. has built a business around one of life’s most memorable moments—marriage proposals—while simultaneously working as a television host and producer. In just two years, her company “Adam and Eve Proposals” has grown from a small operation to a service expanding across the United States, offering couples everything from luxury proposal setups to photography and videography.
The 41-year-old entrepreneur came to the United States from former Yugoslavia (today’s Republic of Serbia) with ambitions in television. After two decades in the industry, she published “Southern Serbian Recipes,” a cookbook now sold internationally. That success led to opportunities behind and in front of the camera—she’s currently developing a cooking show and serving as executive producer and writer for a drama series with the working title “Ruins of Life.”
What sets her apart is the juggling act. While many entrepreneurs focus solely on growing their companies, Eve R. is managing multiple television projects alongside her proposal planning services. The company operates throughout Southern California from its Beverly Hills area, creating custom proposal experiences designed to capture what she calls “special moments in romantic style anywhere.”

From Local Service to National Expansion
The business model is straightforward: all-inclusive proposal packages that handle the details couples might struggle to coordinate themselves. Clients receive complete setups, professional photography, and videography to document the occasion. It’s a formula that’s worked well enough to fuel plans for expansion beyond California.
Eve R. funded the initial investment using income from her television work. Now she’s planning to transform the company into something more comprehensive. The vision includes adding wedding venues in different states, creating what she describes as a one-stop destination where couples can book both their proposal experiences and wedding services through a single company.

Looking Beyond Business Growth
The target market ranges from entertainers to business professionals and older couples looking to elope—essentially anyone wanting their proposal handled with style and documentation. But Katarina Eve R.’s ambitions extend beyond revenue and market share.
Her future plans include charitable work, particularly supporting cancer organizations and people in need. She sees her success as carrying responsibility, hoping to demonstrate that achievement in business should extend to helping others. “Real success is not just to care about yourself,” she explains in her business materials. “It is to care about others too.”
As her cooking show moves through development and the drama series progresses, the proposal and wedding planning company continues expanding. For Katarina Eve R., the message is about showing other women entrepreneurs what’s possible with focus and determination—building something substantial while pursuing creative passions simultaneously, then using that platform to give back.
