Insider Weekly has recognized Dana Priyanka Hammond as the Best Faith-Based Inspirational Author in The Pacific Northwest of 2025, honoring her work across memoir, personal growth, and faith-centered literature that addresses trauma, resilience, and purpose.
Hammond’s writing career spans multiple genres, anchored by her memoir “Abandoned But Not Forgotten,” which recounts her abandonment at an Indian train station at age four and subsequent journey through foster care and adoption in the United States. The book has resonated with readers who have experienced abandonment, trauma, or isolation, offering both personal testimony and practical hope.
Her recent release, “Against All Odds: The Enemy’s Plan and God’s Purpose,” combines memoir with actionable strategies for rebuilding after loss and trauma. The book addresses emotional, financial, and spiritual recovery, providing step-by-step guidance on embracing change, setting goals, and stabilizing finances. Hammond also published “The Solo Journey: Why You Don’t Need Others to Find Fulfillment,” which guides readers through self-discovery and healthy solitude with chapters on mindfulness, financial wellness, and daily practices.
Beyond her published works, Hammond has built a community through her trauma-informed healing platform, where members access micro-courses and workbook-sized guides designed for self-paced growth. The space offers reflection prompts, check-ins, and weekly practices that help participants reframe painful narratives and build daily resilience habits.
Hammond is currently completing her Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership at the University of Maine at Presque Isle, following her Bachelor of Liberal Studies with concentrations in Business Administration, Management, and Project Management. Her academic background informs her approach to community-building and her work developing DPH Publishing, a boutique micro-press focused on manuscript-ready production for purpose-driven books.
As a public speaker featured on platforms including A-Speakers and SpeakerHub, Hammond delivers talks on resilience and faith, ethical leadership, and trauma-informed communities. She addresses audiences ranging from nonprofits and schools to faith communities and media outlets, blending research-backed insight with lived experience.
Hammond’s advocacy extends to mental health awareness, foster care reform, and the fight against human trafficking. She is planning a documentary journey to India as part of her mission to locate her birth parents and raise awareness about child trafficking.
The award from Insider Weekly recognizes Hammond’s contribution to faith-based literature and her commitment to helping others transform adversity into purpose through accessible, practical resources.
