Delaware Horizon, a U.S.-based technology company, has commenced legal proceedings against multiple central banks and financial institutions worldwide for alleged unauthorized use of its patented “Super Platform” technology.
The company, which holds exclusive patent and intellectual property rights to the Super Platform—an advanced system enabling secure official digital transactions via mobile phone—claims that numerous financial entities outside the United States have infringed upon its technology, resulting in billions of dollars in unlawful profits.
The initial lawsuit targets the Central Bank of Oman and several financial and service institutions operating within the Sultanate of Oman. This legal action marks the beginning of what could become a series of lawsuits against financial institutions globally.
Mr. Mahmoud Al Sahli, Chairman of the Board at Delaware Horizon, stated: “We are taking firm legal action to reclaim our rightful intellectual property from all entities outside the United States that are utilizing our technology without proper licensing. A significant number of central banks and financial institutions are benefiting from our innovations without legal authorization, in direct violation of U.S. and international IP laws.”
The Super Platform technology provides infrastructure for secure financial and commercial interconnectivity, enabling mobile-based payments and official digital transactions. According to Delaware Horizon, this platform is crucial for central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) and the development of future smart digital cities.
Al Sahli emphasized that the technology “is an American innovation and must remain a strategic asset for the American people.”
In addition to the legal proceedings, Delaware Horizon has announced plans to transition into a publicly traded joint-stock company, which the company states reflects its commitment to transparency and innovation.
Al Sahli also acknowledged ongoing support from the U.S. government: “Under the leadership of President Donald Trump, the U.S. government continues to stand firmly behind the rights of American companies in the face of violations and intellectual property theft by several foreign entities, particularly in the technology sector.”
The legal team representing Delaware Horizon in this patent infringement case includes Anthony J. Richardson II, Esq. (Lead Counsel) and Anthony J. Glase, Esq. (Co-Counsel) from the Law Office of Anthony J. Richardson II, LLC.
