Psychological thriller from director Tereza Hirsch and executive producer Mariadel Villaespesa invites press and industry to the world premiere on May 9
Los Angeles, CA — Psychological thriller Devil’s Game, directed by international filmmaker Tereza Hirsch and produced by Mariadel Villaespesa, will hold its world premiere on May 9 at the TCL Chinese Theatre as part of the Indie Night Film Festival, hosted by Dave Brown.
The premiere will take place in one of Hollywood’s most iconic venues and will welcome members of the press, independent film community, and industry guests for the film’s official debut.
The screening comes ahead of a continued international festival run, including a major upcoming appearance at the Independent Filmmaker Showcase (IFS) Film Festival in Los Angeles on May 16, where the film is an official selection and nominated for Best Feature alongside new films featuring Emile Hirsch (Into the Wild) and James Duval (Donnie Darko). On the same evening, the project will receive the Best Director Award at the IFS Gala Ceremony.
The IFS Film Society commented on the selection:

ABOUT THE FILM
Devil’s Game is a psychological relationship thriller with subtle supernatural elements. The film follows a couple whose relationship begins to unravel after a sudden family death triggers grief, mistrust, and growing emotional instability.
As the couple turns to spiritual practices and a Ouija board in search of meaning, the narrative increasingly blurs the line between psychological projection and external forces, never fully confirming what is real. At its core, the film explores emotional dependency, perception, and control within intimate relationships, unfolding as a psychological descent where certainty is continuously destabilized.

Hirsch is an international filmmaker whose directing work spans narrative film, television, and commercial production. With more than 25 directing credits, she is known for psychologically driven storytelling, atmospheric tension, and character-focused narratives exploring emotional ambiguity and perception.
Mariadel Villaespesa (Executive Producer)
Mariadel is an independent producer whose career spans production, editing, and directing across film, commercial, and music-related visual projects. She has been based in Los Angeles since 2015, focusing on internationally oriented independent productions and female-led creative teams.
Zoya “Skya” Shybkouskaya (Producer)
Zoya is a Los Angeles-based producer and production strategist specializing in commercial, branded, and narrative content, with a focus on international creative collaboration and production management.
Samual Charles Krumrine (Lead Actor)
Samual stars as the male lead, portraying the partner whose emotional trajectory becomes central to the film’s psychological tension and narrative escalation.
Anuschka van Lent (Lead Actress)
Anuschka leads the film as the central character, portraying a woman who subtly manipulates her partner as grief and emotional tension begin to distort reality, raising questions about what is real and who can be trusted.
