A new cybersecurity training academy set to launch in January 2026 aims to democratize access to high-paying tech careers by eliminating traditional barriers like college degree requirements and expensive tuition. Christian Santos, who has worked with major corporations including Apple and Ralph Lauren, is developing CYBERTRIX ACADEMY to address the growing gap between cybersecurity job openings and qualified professionals.
The academy represents a shift from conventional tech education models, focusing on practical skills training in specialized areas like PCI DSS compliance, HIPAA, NIST, and CMMC frameworks. Santos, drawing from his extensive background in governance, risk, and compliance (GRC), designed the program after witnessing firsthand how traditional pathways often exclude capable individuals from entering the field.
“I was tired of watching people get discouraged by job descriptions that demand five years of experience and four certifications for an entry-level role,” says Santos. “That’s not how this should work. There’s a better way.”
The cybersecurity training program distinguishes itself through several key features: no degree requirements, specialized rather than generic training, comprehensive career coaching including resume workshops and LinkedIn optimization, job placement support through partnerships with recruiters, and below-average pricing with flexible payment options.
Students will access coursework through a custom Learning Management System hosted at CybertrixLMS.tech, featuring on-demand lessons, quizzes, assignments, and certifications. The platform is designed to prepare graduates for roles in risk analysis, compliance, vulnerability management, and incident response, with potential first-year earnings ranging from $90,000 to $150,000.
Beyond education, Santos operates CYBERTRIX, LLC, a consulting firm that provides cybersecurity services to businesses requiring PCI DSS readiness and compliance. This dual approach allows him to understand both the employer perspective and the skills gap in the market, informing the academy’s curriculum development.
“I wanted to be the bridge between companies who need compliance and the professionals who can deliver it,” says Santos. “That’s how we solve both the talent shortage and the security gaps at once.”
The CYBERTRIX ACADEMY initiative extends beyond traditional classroom learning. Plans include welcome kits for students, career-building resources, and community engagement through school visits and workshops. Santos, identifying as a proud Puerto Rican and first-generation entrepreneur, emphasizes the importance of creating opportunities for communities often underrepresented in technology sectors.
“I’ve seen firsthand how a good-paying job in cybersecurity can change lives,” he says. “It’s not just about income. It’s about dignity, freedom, and creating a better future.”
The academy’s launch strategy includes developing three interconnected websites: Cybertrix.tech for consulting services, CybertrixAcademy.tech as the primary training portal, and CybertrixLMS.tech for the learning management system. Marketing campaigns are planned across Google, YouTube, Facebook, and TikTok, targeting career-changers, high school graduates, military veterans, and others seeking stable career paths in technology.
With cybersecurity job openings continuing to outpace qualified candidates nationally, initiatives like CYBERTRIX ACADEMY will play a crucial role in addressing workforce shortages while providing accessible pathways to lucrative careers. The academy is currently accepting names for its waitlist ahead of the January 2026 launch.
“I want people to know that you don’t have to be a hacker to break into cybersecurity,” says Santos. “You just need the right training, the right mindset, and someone who believes in you.”
Interested individuals can join the waitlist by contacting the academy directly at [email protected] or by calling (945) 259-5301.
