Google has launched a new entertainment venture aimed at reshaping public perception of technology through strategic media production, according to recent reports.
The tech giant has established a film and television production initiative called “100 Zeroes,” focused on identifying and supporting entertainment projects. This effort represents a multi-year partnership with Range Media Partners, a talent firm and production company known for films including “A Complete Unknown” and “Longlegs.”
According to Business Insider reporting, the initiative specifically targets younger audiences, aiming to foster more positive attitudes toward Google’s products and technology in general. Similar to Apple’s approach with its television productions, these projects may feature characters using Android phones and other Google products with clearly visible branding. TechCrunch

Rather than distributing content through its own YouTube platform or launching a dedicated streaming service similar to Apple TV, Google reportedly plans to collaborate with existing studios for distribution of these productions.
The initiative appears to already have some production credits, as film and entertainment social platform Letterboxd lists 100 Zeroes as one of the producers for the 2024 horror film “Cuckoo.”
Google has previously engaged with the entertainment industry through product placement, most notably in the 2013 comedy “The Internship” starring Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson, which prominently featured the company’s culture and campus. However, this new venture represents a more direct and strategic approach to content creation and brand perception management through entertainment media.Re
