A new chapter in horror fan filmmaking is unfolding as independent film production company CCC Entertainment Group advances production on what may become the most ambitious fan film to date: Jason Voorhees: Nightmares.
The project represents a significant milestone for the creative collective, which has already established its presence in the entertainment industry through the Spotify Top 100 podcast “Around the Reel.” Now, the company is channeling its filmmaking expertise into crafting what they describe as a “full-throttle, heart-pounding, character-rich horror experience” that aims to redefine expectations for fan-created content.
What distinguishes this production from typical fan tributes is its impressive cast of established actors. Robert LaSardo, known for his work in “The Mule” and “Nip/Tuck,” takes on a pivotal role, while Jason Brooks returns to portray the iconic Jason Voorhees character following his performance in “Friday the 13th: Vengeance 2 – Bloodlines.” The cast also features G Larry Butler from “Ultraman X: Here He Comes! Our Ultraman” and rising talent Sanae Loutsis from “The Death of Snow White.”

“With Jason Voorhees: Nightmares, we wanted to make something that doesn’t just satisfy fans—but genuinely impresses them,” says Aaron Carlson, Writer and Director of CCC Entertainment Group. “We’re treating this like a real film, because it is. It’s made by fans, but we’re using the full power of our studio and our collective experience to make it unforgettable.”
The film promises to explore the legacy of one of horror’s most recognizable killers while introducing other iconic horror figures including Freddy Krueger, Chucky, and Michael Myers. This ambitious crossover approach suggests the production team is aiming to create a comprehensive horror universe experience rather than a simple tribute.
Behind the scenes, the filmmaking collective at CCC brings substantial industry experience to the project. The leadership team includes producer and filmmaker Steve Eaton, documentary filmmaker Samantha Hanna, and award-winning film composer and executive Kelvin Galloza, who collectively possess over two decades of film industry experience across various disciplines.
The production is currently underway, with regular updates being shared through the company’s social media channels and their podcast. For horror enthusiasts, particularly fans of the Friday the 13th franchise, this project represents an intriguing development in the realm of fan-created content that aspires to professional production standards.
CCC Entertainment Group has positioned itself as a company dedicated to storytelling across multiple genres, though this horror project appears to be their current focus. The company’s broader mission involves creating original content spanning documentaries, science fiction, dramas, and thrillers, all while fostering collaboration among diverse creative talents.
