The International Peace Commission has been recognized with the Global Humanitarian Leadership Award 2025 for its extensive work in advancing peace, human dignity, and sustainable development across multiple continents. The nonprofit organization, operating under the ceremonial leadership of H.E. Prince Hassan, Ambassador & World Chairman, has established itself as a platform connecting governments, civil society, businesses, and grassroots communities in the pursuit of global peace.
The award acknowledges IPC’s comprehensive approach to peacebuilding through four core areas: conflict mediation and diplomacy, preventive peacebuilding, human rights advocacy, and sustainable development partnerships. The Commission’s work is built on the principle that peace extends beyond the absence of conflict to encompass justice, opportunity, and human dignity.
H.E. Prince Hassan emphasized the organization’s philosophy, stating: “Peace is not merely the absence of conflict—it is the presence of dignity, unity, and recognition. IPC exists to honor those who build bridges across cultures and generations.”
A distinctive element of IPC’s operations is its Arts & Culture Division, which utilizes creative expression as a tool for unity and reconciliation. The division oversees the MashUp102 Radio Network, featuring three stations that broadcast in multiple languages and formats. Plans are underway for IPC Radio, a dedicated channel designed to amplify the voices of volunteers and grassroots organizations worldwide while facilitating connections with global institutions including the United Nations.
The Commission offers tiered membership levels that provide recognition to individuals committed to building peace across borders. One full member reflected on their experience: “Joining IPC was more than a membership—it was an affirmation of my lifelong commitment to peace. The ceremonial onboarding and global community made me feel truly seen.”
Recent expansion efforts have strengthened IPC’s Corporate Social Responsibility and Economic Development Division, which identifies and accredits businesses demonstrating commitment to community welfare and ethical practices. These organizations join a network dedicated to aligning commerce with social progress. The Commission maintains its status as a participant in the United Nations Global Compact, ensuring alignment with international standards for human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption.
Through its multi-dimensional approach combining diplomatic engagement, cultural exchange, and community empowerment, the International Peace Commission addresses contemporary global challenges including climate change, migration crises, and economic inequality. The Global Humanitarian Leadership Award 2025 recognizes these sustained efforts in creating pathways toward lasting peace and prosperity.
