Originally established in downtown El Paso as an upscale menswear store, Union Fashion holds a distinguished place in the city’s history. The store served as the preferred shopping destination for U.S. and Mexican presidents during their visits to El Paso. Notable historical figures including Black Jack Pershing and Pancho Villa were said to have been customers of the prestigious retailer.
Owner and CEO Enoch Kimmelman celebrated a grand reopening for the brand in 2025, bringing new life to a business with over a century of heritage. “Union Fashion has such a rich history and is so much part of this region. We’ve been very privileged and honored to have been associated with such a prestigious store,” Kimmelman said.
The relaunched store addresses growing demand for luxury shopping in El Paso and surrounding areas by offering exclusive collections from Burberry, Versace, Canali and other designer brands. This selection fills a notable gap in the regional market, providing local access to high-end fashion that was previously only available in larger cities.
Kimmelman, who also serves as CEO of Star Western Wear, expressed pride in restoring Union Fashion’s role in the community. “We opened last year and it’s exciting that we’ve gotten bigger and with a lot of new brands,” he said. “Bringing items like the world Burberry brand to El Paso is a great thing because it’s something you can only find between Phoenix, Dallas and other bigger cities in Texas.”
