In West Jordan, Utah, industrial power solutions provider Quality Electrical Systems (QES) has transformed from a regional specialist to a worldwide supplier of mission-critical electrical equipment. With a manufacturing footprint spanning 350,000 square feet and an additional 75,000 square feet dedicated to inventory, QES exemplifies how American manufacturers can compete on a global scale.
Meeting Industrial Power Demands
The company’s evolution over three decades reflects broader changes in power infrastructure needs. Their focus on data centers, oil and gas operations, water treatment facilities, and mining operations puts them at the intersection of traditional industry and digital transformation. The company maintains custom electrical manufacturing partnerships with industry giants including GE/ABB, Yaskawa, Danfoss, and TMEIC.
Roselyn Cordero: Driving Operational Excellence
Central to QES’s success is Roselyn Cordero, a production control engineer whose work ensures that the company’s high-quality production schedules are executed efficiently. Originally from Venezuela, Roselyn brought with her a robust engineering background, having worked as a Supervisor of Chemistry and Thermofluids Laboratories, where she coordinated laboratory activities, prepared and managed equipment and materials, and guided students through experiments while ensuring proper safety protocols. Seeking new opportunities, she came to the U.S. to continue her career in engineering, eventually joining QES.

At QES, Roselyn plays a pivotal role in production scheduling and workflow management. She maintains real-time updates on ERP and scheduling systems, including Aptean and Leading2Lean (L2L), to monitor work orders, track production progress, and address potential delays. Her keen attention to detail has helped the company overcome challenges such as raw material shortages or misaligned design specifications, coordinating across mechanical, NC programming, purchasing, and quality control teams to ensure timely completion of production orders.
Roselyn also works closely with the Quality Control (QC) team to identify and resolve issues, from misaligned holes and bent materials to painting or welding defects. By intervening when work orders are paused and collaborating with QC, she helps guarantee that only products meeting stringent quality standards proceed in production—a critical factor in maintaining QES’s reputation for reliability.
Beyond her technical expertise, Roselyn has contributed to the development of team members, training new staff on daily routines, production processes, and the use of ERP and L2L systems. This guidance has not only accelerated onboarding but also helped maintain smooth, efficient operations across the department. Since arriving in the U.S., she has further strengthened her skills in production planning, coordination, and cross-departmental communication, enhancing her impact on QES’s workflow and operational efficiency.

Strategic Positioning for Future Growth
What sets QES apart isn’t just its impressive manufacturing capacity—it’s how the company has positioned itself at the crossroads of multiple expanding industries. Data centers, in particular, represent a growing market as cloud computing and digital services continue their explosive growth. The company’s ability to produce custom solutions at scale has made it an attractive partner for international manufacturers.
The manufacturer’s extensive inventory space allows it to maintain critical components on hand, reducing lead times in an industry where delays can cost customers millions. This infrastructure supports their ability to handle large-volume projects that smaller competitors simply cannot accommodate.
Looking Ahead
As Quality Electrical Systems marks its third decade in business, the company shows no signs of slowing down. Their strategy of combining deep industrial expertise with modern manufacturing capabilities has proven successful in markets requiring highly specialized electrical solutions.
For industries that cannot afford downtime—from data centers processing millions of transactions to water treatment facilities serving entire cities—the demand for reliable electrical infrastructure continues to grow. With key team members like Roselyn Cordero driving operational excellence behind the scenes, QES is well-positioned to meet this increasing demand while continuing to expand its global footprint.
