Weston Brandon never imagined he would be raising a premature infant alone at 23. When his wife died suddenly after their son was born at just 26 weeks, Brandon faced a future dramatically different from anything he had planned.
Today, that journey through grief and rebuilding has become the foundation for a leadership development approach helping young men across the country find direction and purpose.
“I completely rebuilt my life, found love again, remarried, had two more children, changed careers, wrote this book, and began coaching other men with a system that I created called D.R.I.V.E.,” Brandon says of his transformation from tragedy to purpose-driven work.
The D.R.I.V.E. system forms the core of Brandon’s coaching practice and his upcoming book The Overhaul: Fixing Your Mindset and Driving Success, scheduled for release June 5. The book chronicles his personal rebuilding process while outlining strategies that helped him move forward after loss.

“My primary focus is to help other young men with a desire and motivation to be successful in life, but don’t know how to find themselves in a way that will unlock those doors for them,” explains Brandon, who now works as a keynote speaker and men’s life coach alongside his leadership development consulting.
This mission extends beyond individual coaching to organizational development. Brandon’s work includes leadership training programs designed to help companies identify and nurture potential leaders within their ranks, particularly focusing on young men who need guidance to fulfill their potential.
As co-founder of the Brandon Institute, though still in its early stages, he aims to expand the reach of the D.R.I.V.E. methodology through facilitator programs tailored to various industries. The approach stands out for being “intimately personal for the individual, yet infinitely scalable for organizations.”
For those interested in Brandon’s unique perspective on overcoming adversity and developing leadership potential, his website offers registration for updates about the book launch and upcoming speaking engagements where he shares his methodology with schools, companies, and organizations focused on developing successful young leaders.
“Primarily, I’m a widower and grief survivor who successfully rebuilt his life, looking to use my story to help other men and organizations do the same,” Brandon reflects, summarizing the deeply personal mission that drives his professional endeavors.
